What structural analysis software does MEC use?
MEC uses STAAD.Pro for general structural analysis, ETABS for multi-storey building analysis, and ANSYS for advanced finite element analysis (FEA) of connections, pressure vessels, and non-linear problems.
Does MEC perform seismic analysis?
Yes. MEC performs response spectrum analysis, equivalent static analysis, and time-history analysis per IS 1893-2016, ASCE 7, and Eurocode 8. Both linear and non-linear methods are applied depending on the project category and Seismic Zone.
Can MEC analyse existing structures for capacity?
Yes. MEC performs structural integrity assessments of existing structures, including capacity verification, load rating analysis, and deficiency identification. FEM models are calibrated against the as-built condition using available drawings and site measurements.
